When the iconic Spanish wallpaper brand Coordonné approached us to redesign their packaging, we saw an opportunity to create something both environmentally conscious and highly functional. Their previous packaging relied heavily on plastic to protect wallpaper rolls during shipping, a practice that was effective but not eco-friendly. Our challenge was to find a solution that maintained durability while drastically reducing plastic use.

The design we developed eliminated over 90% of the plastic previously used, replacing it with a more sustainable alternative that still provided excellent protection. But we didn’t stop there—our solution also simplified the packaging process, enabling operators to work more efficiently. By reducing the time required to package each roll, the new design allowed for significantly higher productivity without compromising quality or safety during transport.

Good design goes beyond aesthetics. While it should attract consumers with its visual appeal, it must also deliver practical benefits. In this project, we prioritized functionality from a production perspective, ensuring that the new packaging was not only better for the planet but also easier and faster to assemble.

The result was a packaging solution that redefines how wallpaper is presented and shipped—visually elegant, operationally efficient, and far more sustainable. For us, this project embodies our commitment to designing with purpose: creating solutions that are not only beautiful but also meaningful and responsible.
